The Model SFC metal clamping device meets the requirements of the IBC 2000 and the NCSBC 2002 for restraining light fixtures weighing 56 lbs. or less in all Seismic Design Categories by providing a positive attachment to the suspended ceiling system without the use of additional wires or cables attached to the fixture, and is rated for 100% of the weight of the fixture.

The SFC has a rated load carrying capacity of 200 lbs. and is approved to work together with T-bar runners for restraint in accordance with current code requirements.

The SFC clamp assembly has met the approval of the ICBO Acceptance Criteria (AC 184) for attachment devices for recessed lighting fixtures in suspended ceiling systems. This makes the SFC clamp assembly system compliant with the IBC 2000 and the NCSBC 2002 requirement.
