The SFC metal clamping device meets the requirements of the IBC 2000 and the NCSBC 2002 in Seismic Design Categories C, D, E and F. The Model SFC is used for restraining air distribution devices weighing 56# or less by providing positive attachment to the suspended ceiling system without the use of additional wires or cables and is rated for 100% of the weight of the air device.

The SFC has a rated load carrying capacity of 200 lbs. and is approved to work together with T-bar runners for restraint in accordance with current code requirements.

The SFC clamp assembly has met the approval of the ICBO Acceptance Criteria (AC 184) for attachment devices. This makes the SFC clamp assembly system compliant with the IBC 2000 and the NCSBC 2002 requirements.
